Is Life Confusing or Is it Just me?

What does this life mean? What is the reason behind it? We as people just live our lives from day to day trying to be happy. We go out with certain friends for personal satisfaction, and we get a job that is interesting to us and makes us energetic to get up every morning and feel refreshed. We just go along in our busy lives working and playing to fulfill our desires, goals, and dreams. Is life just about obtaining what you already do not have? The older I get, the more I realize this to be true yet only time will tell if my opinion or life analysis is true or not.
